Job Description

To grow long-lasting and trusted relationships with existing high-value customers and to ensure an outstanding services experience for an increasing number of customers, THEO has opened up a position of Account Director. 

THEO is looking for an Account Director (a) with an existing network within the streaming media business, and (b) a successful track record as technical or commercial liaison to connect and build solid relationships, sensing and developing business opportunities. In addition, (c) our ideal candidate has a proven ability to elicit business requirements and outline solutions within the Broadcasting, Telco or OTT industry. 

This position reports directly to the Chief Operations Officer (COO), collaborates closely with other Account Directors, Sales Executives, Project Managers, Technical Solution Architects and Customer Services Manager.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead point of contact for all matters related to a portfolio of existing customer accounts;
  • Growing and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer & partnership relationships;
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts and customer stakeholders;
  • Create opportunities and develop new business within existing customer accounts;
  • Overseeing commercial account management including tendering, negotiations, contract management, and invoicing to maximize life-time value;
  • Liaise with internal teams to deliver and improve the overall customer experience;
  • Ensure timely and successful delivery of our solutions and professional services according to customer needs and objectives;
  • Knowledge sharing about customer needs and industry insights;
  • Contributions to product innovations and product roadmap;
  • Forecast and track account metrics and act for continuous improvements.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Online video streaming experience with the Telco’s, Broadcasters and/or OTT industry;
  • 2-3 years of work experience as technical or commercial account manager in a professional services or software implementation company, preferably for a SME;
  • Experience in delivering customer-focused solutions. Business consulting or project management experience in the relevant industries is a strong advantage;
  • Proven ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization;
  • Proven ability to manage and grow multiple accounts;
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and communication skills;
  • Master’s degree in economics, business administration, computer science, engineering or similar;
  • Experience with CRM software (HubSpot, Salesforce, Planhat)
  • High proficiency in English;
