Job Description

THEOplayer is looking for a seasoned sales and marketing executive to lead all revenue generating activities as our Chief Revenue Officer. As CRO you will be responsible for achieving our ambitious growth objectives in the online video industry.

As CRO, reporting to the CEO, you are a key asset of the leadership team. In this challenge the CRO will formulate and execute strategies to increase revenue growth while managing the marketing and sales teams. Target customers are telecommunications service providers, online video publishers, broadcasters and content producers across all regions of the world.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • You manage the marketing and commercial sales teams:
    • Hiring, training and coaching top sales and marketing professionals and retaining exceptional talent;
    • Guiding the team of managers and individual contributors across new business and help them to define and execute their goals, giving them clear and actionable feedback, and supporting their career growth.
  • Reliant on data and metrics: you are a numbers guy (or gal). You hold teams accountable by exhibiting fluency in data and tying performance to established metrics that determine sales and marketing success. You tweak all the levers our company has, to generate revenue based on fresh data;
  • Constant communicator: you communicate the revenue strategy company-wide, with a special focus on marketing and sales efforts, to ensure all teams are aligned in strategy and execution for the greatest revenue attainment;
  • Results orientated: you establish both short-term results and long-term commercial strategy, including revenue forecasting, manage annual marketing plan and budget;
  • You monitor and optimize the strategies and processes across the revenue cycle from customer acquisition to engagement and develop corresponding ROI metrics;
  • You set-up and participate in training programs to improve the knowledge and skills of your team;
  • You travel occasionally for international conferences, events and customer meetings.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • You have minimum 10 years successful B2B SaaS sales and marketing experience; including strategical thinking, planning and implementation;
  • You are a mediator. You have an innate ability to channel different points of view and can establish and maintain excellent relationships and credibility quickly;
  • A seasoned executive, business leader, and diplomat who has demonstrated success leading teams that have sold software or data products to enterprise level clients;
  • You are data driven. You harness the power of data to drive and adapt go-to-market strategies and tactics that drive profitable growth;
  • You are a critical thinker – strategic and analytical – with one foot in the field. You have demonstrated the ability to translate strategic initiatives into detailed operational plans;
  • Long-term and short-term focused: You focus on meeting today’s targets, while building for tomorrow’s success in a predictable and scalable way;
  • You speak and write English excellent;
  • You understand the dynamics of an international fast-growing scale-up;
  • You love working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment in which managing multiple projects and priorities is the norm.
