How you'll make a difference:

As a Manual Tester at THEOplayer, you will be responsible for assuring the quality of software products which will be used by hundreds of companies and millions of end-users worldwide. In a structured and organized way, you will define and periodically execute a full testing plan for every major customer. Working together with the product team and developers, you will ensure that functional requirements align with customer demands as well as that the developed software matches these requirements prior to the delivery to end-customers.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Creation, Execution and maintenance of manual test cases.
  • Ownership of the Test Execution Phase from start to finish and ensuring the software products fulfil all the requirements before releasing into the market.
  • Reporting of the defects and clearly communicating the issues to the developers.
  • Raising any risks that they foresee in the validation or verification processes on time.
  • Identify gaps in the functional requirement documents and ensure documentation is on par with functional requirements.
  • Become a Subject Matter Expert in the product they are testing.
  • Keep a critical eye on the product and come up with suggestions as a user even if it’s not mentioned in the requirements.
  • Work efficiently in lean agile teams.
  • Be comfortable in working in short timeboxed sprints, pair programming, daily standups, test-driven development.
  • Flexibility in terms of works processes and very rarely timing.
  • Be assertive but open to discussions.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • You are ISTQB certified or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of experience in manual testing.
  • Solid Knowledge of Testing Methodologies and Software Development LifeCycle.
  • Experience in Requirement Analysis, Test designing, Test execution and reporting.
  • Ability to read and understand simple JavaScript, Java or Swift code is a huge plus.
  • Identify potential pitfalls in functional requirements.
  • Ability to understand customers use cases.
  • Good English Speaking and documentation skills.
  • Working in a Closely Knit team with clear and frequent communications with the developers and product owners.
  • Strong Critical Thinking and pro-activeness in the day to day activities.
