THEOplayer is looking for a proven, high-performing experienced senior account executive to help us meet our ambitious growth objectives in the online video industry. The role reports to the VP Sales and will involve managing an active customer pipeline and closing new business to deliver exceptional revenue growth in our fast-growing global industry. Target customers will be telecommunications service providers, online video publishers, broadcasters and content producers across all regions of the world.

The online video industry is growing at lightning speed. THEOplayer plays a pivotal role in the evolving video landscape and is a recognised market leader in the video player domain. In 2017 THEOplayer won the Streaming Media Reader's Choice Award in the Video Player /SDK category, confirming its game changing role.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work as a key part of a dynamic team to drive sales across segments and regions.
  • Ability to manage virtual teams to help achieve common sales goals.
  • Develop personal plans for achieving your sales goals and developing the company’s business.
  • Manage the customer renewal cycle from new account to mature account.
  • Guide customers through our new features and services.
  • Close new business at or above quota level.
  • Participate in product and sales training programs to achieve your potential.
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting.
  • Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to the management team
  • Bring your experience and ideas to advance our company's vision for the future.
  • Travel occasionally for international conferences, events and customer meetings.
  • Be a brand enthusiast for THEOplayer.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of B2B sales experience in a revenue closing role.
  • Proven track record of sales success (preferably in a 'hunting' role) is a plus.
  • Sharp focus on achieving goals.
  • Knowledge of the online video industry is a plus, but not a strict requirement.
  • Entrepreneurial, with a bias towards action and a collaborative nature.
  • Experience with engaging with decision makers and executive level.
  • Ability to understand and familiarise quickly with technical products.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Tertiary qualification (University degree or similar).
  • Understand the dynamics of an international fast-growing scale-up.
  • Tons of energy, passion, humor and enthusiasm.
  • Exceptional English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills: courteous, well-spoken and polished.
