Job Description

Are you driven by empowering your engineering teams to reach their maximum potential by coaching them on their agile journey?

We are looking for an experienced Technical Scrum Master to help guide one or more of our in-house engineering teams working on our customizable and innovative video player SDKs. You support and encourage the team(s) by establishing and maintaining a productive and engaging working environment. Having a background in software development, you understand the issues that your team members are facing and help resolve obstacles.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • You identify and tackle impediments that block one or more people in your team;
  • You escalate, communicate and collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to keep the ongoing sprint on track;
  • You facilitate Scrum Ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, retro and review;
  • You protect the team from external interference's and enable everyone to focus on the agreed tasks;
  • When an issue does arise and cause changes to the sprint scope, you take on a communicative position and limit the impact on your sprint as much as possible;
  • You participate in weekly cross-team planning meetings as a representative for your team.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • You have at least 6 years of professional experience;
  • You have at least 2 years of software development experience (required!);
  • You are driven by the Agile principles in your way of working;
  • You are passionate about Agile and know the in's and out's of Scrum;
  • Knowledge of Lean and Kanban is a plus;
  • You know the best practices to facilitate daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint reviews and retro's;
  • You have a learning attitude;
  • You speak and write fluent English;
  • You facilitate conflict resolution when necessary;
  • You exemplify and promote communication based on scrum values of openness and respect;
  • You are a people person - when a team is moving fast in Agile, communication is the effective force which holds the team together;
  • You know different estimation techniques and have experience in coaching your team to produce the best result;
  • You are a servant leader, who serves his team members before anything else;
  • You embrace change, accepting it as a reality of life and adapting to it accordingly.
