Job Description

As a Test Automation Engineer at THEO Technologies, you will be responsible for assuring the quality of software products which will be used by hundreds of companies and millions of end-users worldwide. In a structured and organized way, you will define and periodically execute a full testing plan for every major customer. Working together with the product team and developers, you will ensure that functional requirements align with customer demands as well as that the developed software matches these requirements prior to the delivery to end-customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and expanding automation framework for the product;
  • Creation, execution and maintenance of automation test cases;
  • Ownership of the Test Phase from start to finish and ensuring the software products fulfill all the requirements before releasing into the market;
  • Identify the right areas to be automated and the appropriate tools to be used;
  • Reporting of the defects and clearly communicating the issues to the developers;
  • Raising any risks that they foresee in the validation or verification processes on time;
  • Identify gaps in the functional requirement documents and ensure documentation is on par with functional requirements;
  • Become a Subject Matter Expert in the product you are testing;
  • Keep a critical eye on the product and come up with suggestions as a user even if it’s not mentioned in the requirements;
  • Work efficiently in lean agile teams;
  • Be comfortable in working in short time boxed sprints, pair programming, daily stand-ups, test-driven development.


Desired Skills and Experience
  • Experience in defining the test framework of two or more projects;
  • Ability to understand customers use cases;
  • Good English speaking and documentation skills;
  • Experience setting up and maintaining a Continuous Integration stack – Jenkins;
  • Experience reading code - JavaScript, Java, Swift;
  • Experience writing test scripts - JavaScript, Java, Swift;
  • Experience in cross-browser and cross-platform test automation - Webdriver.io, Browserstack;
  • Experience in mobile test automation - iOS, Android;
  • Experience in Smart-TV/STB test automation is a plus;
  • Willing to learn new technologies;
  • Assertive and open to discussions;
  • Flexible in terms of work processes and timing.
