More About This Demo

With Apple officially launching Low-Latency HLS into production along with the roll out of iOS 14, THEO is proud to be one of the first in the market to support Low-Latency HLS across different platforms.

With ability to reach a streaming latency of anywhere between two to five seconds, LL-HLS is a great way to both deliver streams at low latency and reach Apple ecosystems.

In the demo above, you can see our industry-leading LL-HLS support in action and test it out for yourself. Our friends at Akamai, Broadpeak and Wowza Media Systems have kindly provided streams to test.

With the Low Latency HLS specification being finalised by Apple, THEO has been developing an extension of THEOplayer UVP which supports Low Latency HLS across different platforms.

Please note: This page is best viewed on common desktop browsers. Achievable latency in this demo is dependent on your local network and configuration. Contact us below to help you optimise your stream for your specific use case.
